Testimonials
Laura M. Wilde Mental Performance Coach
Sarah is an enthusiastic and powerful voice in the mental performance space. She will help you go further than you knew you could!
Nelson Maxwell, Assistant Athletics Director
The Drew Athletics program had the pleasure of having Coach Sarah Swanger on our track & field coaching staff. Sarah’s presence and energy was a great fit for our program, as she surprised us with how quickly she acclimated and drove success to our team.
Coach Sarah displayed a natural ability to connect with athletes as a coach/mentor, which contributed to the team's operations and success when performing. Sarah excels at motivating athletes as well the coworkers around her, taking note of how to drive, motivate and care for each individual uniquely. This has allowed our athletes and coaching staff to develop a strong relationship and trust with Coach Sarah during her stent here at Drew.
Sarah is a joy to be around, and made an impactful contribution to our program this season. We look forward to working with Sarah in the future!
Bryan Austin Loza, Running Coach & Competitive Runner
They say you attract others that give off the same energy as yourself, and from the day I met Sarah, I felt that energy. Someone genuine, approachable, and eager to improve not only herself, but those around her. As her coach, I’ve seen the highs, and been right there for some of the lows. Seeing her navigate those physical and mental roadblocks gives her that experience you can’t find anywhere else when it comes to connecting with other athletes. The tables have turned as I work towards my own ambitious goals, so I’m looking to her to help me achieve the mental fortitude needed to do so.
Isabel Gordon, High School Athlete
Sarah will encourage you and calm your nerves by reminding you what your strengths are, putting positive thoughts at the forefront of your mind and making it harder for negative thoughts to intrude. Sarah connects with players because she understands what they are going through. Running is a very mental sport, and requires your head be in the right mindset, Sarah helps you with that at all times: during practice, races, and any time you need her.

Sarah is a skilled people person. Her coaching skills have been honed from years of experience in a myriad of settings, from afterschool programs and summer camps, to clinical social work in schools. She balances enthusiasm, humor, empathy, and CBT skills to guide folks through stressful situations. As her mentor, I have seen her navigate the trickiest of crises with intention and care. She is organized, an excellent communicator, and has created and implemented phenomenal programs.
